Poverty or Greediness : Man fakes his death tells wife to claim €400,000 life insurance
The economic hardship Africans are undergoing is forcing individuals to do the unthinkable just to survive and a family from the Southern part of Africa precisely Zimbabwe has to fake the death of it head to earn insurance benefits.
According to media reports, a couple Bekezela Bhebhe and his better half Thulile Bhebhe have been charged for faking the former’s death.
The Zimbabwean nationals 52 and 48 respectively who resides in the United Kingdom may be ‘rotting in jail’ for the offence of the man faking his death and they could claim £400,000 life insurance.
The State Prosecutor Julian Pozimski disclosed that the case involves the provision of a life insurance policy of £397, 153.’ adding that, if found guilty, Mr Bhebe, could get up to five years in prison.
